Pollo’s Boat Tours is a local, family-run boat tour business operated by Daniel, a native of San Juanillo, born and raised on this beautiful stretch of coast. With a lifetime of experience on the ocean, Daniel offers authentic, small-scale tours rooted in local knowledge and artisanal fishing traditions.

Bookings and inquiries are coordinated with the support of Smart Costa Rica, helping local captains like Daniel connect with visitors more easily.

All tours depart directly from San Juanillo aboard a traditional artisanal fishing lancha, with a maximum capacity of four to five adult passengers, ensuring a safe, personal, and relaxed experience.

Pollo’s Boat Tours offers a variety of coastal experiences, including:

• Inshore fishing tours (approximately 4 hours)
• Sunset tours (approximately 2 hours)
• Short local beach tours (15–20 minutes)
• Snorkeling tours (approximately 2 hours)

Depending on the tour, sea conditions, and time of year, guests may enjoy coastal fishing, snorkeling in clear waters, scenic beach views, and occasional sightings of sea turtles, dolphins, and even whales during the right season.

All tours are available in Spanish and English. While the captain operates the boat, an English-speaking crew member (assistant) can accompany the tour when needed to ensure clear communication and a comfortable experience for international visitors.
